PhD Music Scholarship can be achieved in terms of known or model 5 +3 4 +4 model. Scholarships in accordance with the model 5 +3 could be given to applicants with a master's degree and have a duration of 3 years. Scholarships in accordance with the 4 +4 model can be given to applicants who have passed their 1-year master's studies, and has a duration of 4 years.

As part of the PhD program PhD students must complete an individual planned course program. The PhD Music Scholarship students must also achieve teaching experience for education research. The PhD students are expected to spend a certain period with a foreign institution relevant research, usually one semester. Health Economics Research Unit appoint a supervisor and possibly co-supervisor.

Application Procedures
Applicants for PhD Music Scholarship must complete an application form available on our web page www.sdu.dk / sam / phduk in the form of application for registration. Here you also find a guide to prepare your project proposal (synopsis) in a PhD program for the Economy. In addition to the project proposal, an abstract of not more than 250 words must be included and forwarded, together with detailed CV, information on teaching experience or other communication if the relevant knowledge and publications list. Under model 5 +3 Music Scholarship Applicants must then submit a copy of a Master's degree certificate including the results of the examination. All non-Danish documents must be translated into English and certified.

Applications will be evaluated by a committee of courses in the field under the School of Economics PhD. Assessment of your application will be forwarded to you, when the assessment has been completed.

Music Scholarships will provide £ 15,000 towards the cost of international tuition for 3 years.
This project is based on the increasing interest in re-reduction in construction projects in order to improve efficiency, minimize delays and impacts on the environment. The direct costs of construction often repeated in the account to be between 5% -15% of the total costs and 30% of activity in the construction project and acknowledged that the site team spent a disproportionate time and effort making designs work in practice. The Music Scholarships occurrence of re-construction is usually the result of insufficient activity or process of correcting applied. Buildability widely regarded as one of the causes of rework in the construction industry. Music Scholarships Accurately assess the buildability design can be a significant challenge. Current manual process is time consuming, error-prone and not exactly identify the cost implications of buildability issues. This can cause substantial inefficiencies and errors, will be detected or unknown, causes a problem in the delivery and costs spiral.

The Music Scholarships purpose of the proposed project is to develop an automated system to diagnose the problem buildability at the design stage to complete before reaching the site team to avoid rework and delays. To achieve this goal a number of objectives to be met. Objectives:
- Investigate key buildability issues and their properties (interface issues, assembly issues, compatibility issues etc.)
-Develop a framework for diagnosis of buildability problems.
- Developing a system for buildability bespoke automated diagnosis.
- Evaluate, using appropriate examples, the effectiveness of the proposed framework and system diagnosis buildability.
The Music Scholarships project has four main activities - a critical analysis and to better understand the problem buildability at the design stage and construction and its impact on rework, the development of a framework for identifying these problems, the development of a bespoke automated system to identify buildability problems during the design stage, and development of evaluation prototypes and systems.

The Music Scholarships overall objective of the Graduate School is to evaluate the reliability, security and robustness of numerical models. This assessment takes into account a variety of aspects and models. Three PhD fellowships are available for highly motivated candidates at The Faculty of Life Sciences, University of Copenhagen. The fellowships start 1^st April 2011 or soonest possible thereafter. The application deadline is 28 February 2012.

Job description

The work within the 3 PhD fellowships will focus on:

Physiological and biochemical characterization of photosynthetic parameters in barley and maize plants suffering from micronutrient deficiency (PhD1)
Multi-plexed quantification of chloroplastic proteins using actinide elemental tagged antibodies in combination with laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (PhD2)
Coupling of physiological markers for micronutrient status with the genetic map of barley and maize through analysis of QTLs, candidate genes and association genetics (PhD3)

The 3 PhD fellowships constitute an integrated part of the DSF-funded project Improved agricultural sustainability using molecular strategies to optimise nutrient use efficiency in cereals (NUTRIEFFICIENT). The project is carried out jointly between research groups in Plant Nutrition, Molecular Plant Breeding and Photosynthesis at Department of Agriculture and Ecology and Department of Plant Biology and Biotechnology, KU-LIFE. Other project partners include University of Southern Denmark (proteomics), Sejet Plant Breeding and China Agricultural University. The PhD fellows will work closely together with senior staff in the consortium, with each other and with and other PhD students within the area.

Your key tasks as a PhD fellow at LIFE are:

Qualifications

The applicant may be from any developing country, and he/she must first obtain admission to pursue a Master's degree studies in a relevant field of development, in any recognized university/college in the world. Through its scholarship scheme, OFID aims to help highly motivated, highly-driven individuals overcome one of the biggest challenges to their careers – the cost of graduate studies. The winner of the OFID Scholarship Award will receive a scholarship of up to US$100,000. The funds will be spread over a maximum of two years, toward the completion of a Master’s degree, or its equivalent, at an accredited educational institution, starting in the autumn of the academic year 2010/2011.

Upon completion of the studies, the student will be paid the cost of one-way air ticket to his/her home country.

MESPOM Erasmus Mundus Masters course in Environmental Sciences

MESPOM is an Erasmus Mundus Masters course in Environmental Sciences, Policy and Management operated by four leading European and two North American Universities and supported by the European Commission. MESPOM prepares students for identifying and implementing solutions to complex environmental challenges, especially in an international context.
The MESPOM study programme is in English and lasts two years. The students study in at least three out of six consortium universities: the International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics at Lund University (Sweden), the University of Manchester (UK), Central European University (Budapest), the University of the Aegean (Lesvos, Greece), Middlebury College and its affiliate Monterey Institute for International Studies (MIIS) (USA), and the University of Saskatchewan (UoS) (Canada).

The European Commission’s Erasmus Mundus programme provides scholarships to outstanding students and to scholars to participate in teaching and research. Additional forms of financial assistance are available.

Erasmus Mundus Scholarships

The number of scholarships for each category of individuals (students from categories A and B) are determined in the autumn by the European Commission on a yearly basis. The “Category A” scholarship is EUR 48,000, and the “Category B” scholarship is EUR 23,000 per two years of study.

General requirements

Applicants to MESPOM must have earned a first (Bachelor’s or equivalent) degree (not less than 3 years of full-time studies) from a recognized university or institution of higher education, or provide documentation indicating that they will earn their first degree from such an institution by the time of enrolling in MESPOM.

Language Requirements

Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in English. Those applicants whose first language is not English must submit standardized English language test scores, e.g., the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Students taking TOEFL should request a copy of their results to be sent to the CEU Admissions Office.

Admissions

MESPOM invites applications from all countries. Successful candidates must have a good first degree in a subject related to environmental sciences, policy and management such as biology, geography, other earth sciences, civil engineering, urban or landscape planning, resource economics or specialised disciplines (environmental engineering, environmental management, environmental economics, environmental policy). Candidates with other first degrees are also considered if they show commitment to environmental careers, usually through work experience. Admission is based on the academic and intellectual excellence of applicants as well as their motivation and prior experience. All candidates should demonstrate proficiency in English. In order to create a multicultural learning environment, the Consortium strives to achieve a balance between various geographic and disciplinary backgrounds of MESPOM students.

All MESPOM applications should be made to Central European University in accordance with CEU Admission Requirements and with respect to the MESPOM specific eligibility requirements and application procedure.

The admission process will include check of eligibility requirements and selection by the MESPOM Academic Board.

The Blakemore Foundation was established in 1990 by Thomas and Frances Blakemore to encourage the advanced study of Asian languages and to improve the understanding of Asian fine arts in the United States.

Blakemore Freeman Fellowships are awarded for one year of advanced level language study in East or Southeast Asia in approved language programs.

To be eligible for a Blakemore Freeman Fellowship, an applicant must:

•Be pursuing an academic, professional or business career that involves the regular use of a modern East or Southeast Asian language

•Have a college undergraduate degree

Blakemore Refresher Grants are made for periods less than one academic year (minimum of two months).

Applicants for Refresher Grants must meet all the eligibility requirements for Blakemore Freeman Fellowships, and be a member of one of the following groups:

•Former Blakemore Freeman Fellows;
•Professors who are teaching in an Asian field at a university or college in the United States and post-doctoral professionals whose degree is in an Asian field;
•Graduates of the regular academic-year programs at the IUC in Yokohama, Japan, the IUP at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China, and the ICLP at National Taiwan University in Taipei, Taiwan.

Eligible Languages & Programs

Blakemore language grants are awarded for study of the principal modern languages of East and Southeast Asia.

Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Khmer and Burmese

Consideration will be given to other East or Southeast Asian languages on an individual basis. Grants will not be made for the study of Asian languages not in current use.

MEDI-LASE is a joint research programme capitalising on the knowledge and expertise of the partners through exchanges of researchers and transfers of knowledge between research centers at the University of Dundee and two SME companies with expertise in different aspects of photonics based diagnosis. A manufacturer and developer of state-of-the-art medical diagnostics equipment ASKION GmbH and a developer of integrated diagnostic laser systems SPE LAZMA. The aims of the project are to overcome scientific and technical challenges to the realisation and adoption of a unique multifunctional non-invasive laser diagnostic system.

Program Description

A two year postdoctoral research fellowships have become available in an international collaborative European project entitled MEDI-LASE: Multifunctional MEdical DIagnostic LASEr. This research will be undertaken in:

• The Photonics & Nanoscience Group, in the School of Engineering, Physics and Mathematics in the University of Dundee, Dundee, UK
o Fellow 1 – Experienced Researcher with 4-10 years experience in biophotonics and clinical research starting in August, 2010.
o Fellow 2 – Experienced Researcher with 4-10 years experience in laser physics and biophotonics starting in July, 2011.
• ASKION GmbH, Gera, Germany
o Fellow 3 – Experienced Researcher with 4-10 years experience in biophotonics starting in November, 2010.

ASEAN Scholarships for Cambodia 2010

The ASEAN Scholarships for Cambodia is tenable for 4 years leading to the award of the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Advanced GCE A-Level (or equivalent) certificate.

The Scholarship is for studies in selected Singapore schools from Secondary Three to Pre-University Two and is renewed annually, subject to the satisfactory performance of the scholar.

Students from Cambodia are welcome to apply for the ASEAN Scholarships for Cambodia to enter Singapore schools at the Secondary Three level. Candidates who are not short-listed for the scholarships will be considered for the Merit Awards.

Eligible Candidates

Students who meet the following criteria are invited to apply for the scholarship:

■ Nationals of Cambodia
■ Born between 1994 to 1996
■ Have completed at least Grade 10 of Senior High School / Upper Secondary
■ Performed consistently well in their examinations, in particular Mathematics and the Sciences
■ Offered English as a subject in Grade 10
■ Proficiency in English and a good record of participation in extra-curricular activities would be an advantage

The Department of Informatics (IFI) is one of nine departments belonging to the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at the University of Oslo. IFI is Norway¿s largest university department for broad education and research in Computer Science and related topics. You can read more about the Department here: http://www.ifi.uio.no. The overall staff of the Department is close to 250 employees, about 150 of these are full time scientific positions: about 60 Full/Associate Professors and about 90 PhD Fellows/Post Doctoral Fellows. The fellowship is for a period of up to 4 years, with 25 % compulsory work. Starting date no later than 1 October, 2010.

Job description

The intended topic for the PhD project is modeling of Probabilistic Real-Time Systems in Rewriting Logic. This includes theoretical and practical investigations as well as tool implementation. Applicants may submit a project proposal related to the research challenges outlined above, including a description of main approach, a more detailed outline of research topics, and proposals for choice of theory and method.

Turkish Government offers scholarships for Undergraduate and Graduate (Master/PhD) Studies

If there is no special note in bilateral agreements; Turkish Government offers scholarships for Undergraduate and Graduate (Master/PhD) studies, as well as for Research and Turkish Language Summer Courses under the following conditions:

1- Scholarship notifications are announced through diplomatic channels. Candidates should apply to the authorized bodies of their own countries or to the Turkish Embassies/Consulates in their respective countries.

2- Candidate is selected by the related country or Republic of Turkey by the foreign representatives. Commission also selects one reserve candidate for a quota of five, two reserve candidates for a quota of six or more.

3- Documents of candidates for undergraduate, graduate and research scholarships should be submitted to the Turkish Ministry of National Education through diplomatic channels before 30th June and the documents of candidates for Turkish Language Summer Course scholarships before 30th April same way. Applications with missing documents or applications received later than the above mentioned dates will not be taken into account.

4- Turkish Ministry of National Education examines and evaluates the documents and selects the candidate/s. Selected candidates are invited through diplomatic channels.

5- Candidates of undergraduate and graduate scholarships should obtain a visa of “Education” and the candidates of research scholarships should obtain a visa of “Research (holder of MoNE scholarship)” from the Turkish Embassies/Consulates in their respective countries. 8- Student should apply for the extension of residence permit one month prior to its deadline. Extension of the residence permit is under student’s responsibility.

9- Undergraduate and graduate students attend Turkish Courses at TÖMER for 1 year. In order to be enrolled to the universities, students should obtain a “high” level of TÖMER Diploma.

10- Before making their choices, applicants have to inquire about the universities’ conditions of acceptance and registration. Some universities require students to attend a one-year preparatory class and take
a final exam. After completing the placement process for a university, requests for university changes are not regarded.

11- Applications for Medical Specialty studies are unacceptable. However, candidates can take exams for Medical Specialty studies on their own efforts.

12- Research programs are open to those who want to make a scientific research in his/her particular subject area in a university. Research duration is between 2-8 months.

13- Turkish Language Summer Courses are organized in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Bursa, Kayseri, Antalya and Samsun. Applicants can choose three provinces among them. Courses are not organized in provinces that have no adequate number of applicants. Course dates are from July 1st to August 31st.

14- School fees, dorm fees and medical treatment expenditures (excluding long term illnesses, serious surgical operations, prosthesis, jaw orthopaedics, orthodontics and teeth prosthesis) are paid by the Turkish Government.

15- Monthly payment for graduate studies, research or Turkish Language Summer Course is TL 220, and TL 195 for undergraduate studies. Travel expenses and cost of meals are to be covered by the student.

16- Academic year begins in September. Candidate invited has to register educational institution until 30th of October at the latest.

17- If a student cannot graduate in normal school time he/she is given maximum a 2 year extra time. If a student cannot graduate in that extra time, his/her scholarship will be cancelled.

18- It is assumed that the student accepts the conditions of the educational institution and the conditions of the hostel and the conditions of the scholarship that takes place in this document.

II) ELIGIBILITY FOR SCHOLARSHIPS

Applicants should not be a citizen of the Republic of Turkey or hold a dual nationality (Turkish and any other country’s nationality).
Undergraduate candidates should have a “good” level of a high school graduation degree. The high school which was graduated from should be equivalent to the high schools in Turkey. Candidates should not have suspended education more than 2 years after graduation and not be older than 25 years on the date of application.
Candidates for graduate studies (Master/PhD) should be a graduate of a 4-year university and not be older than 40 years on the date of application.

Job Description: We are looking for a highly motivated research students and graduate students looking for innovative development and structure of the selection of conserved coding sequences (CNC) using computational comparative genomics. It is estimated that approximately 4-7% of the human genome under functional selection, but only 2% of coding for proteins. This implies that encode a repertoire of functionally important elements at least as large as the repertoire of genes, proteins, whose function is still largely unknown. The project will lead to our results and take advantage of existing partnerships.

The ideal candidate has a solid experience in bioinformatics, including programming skills, experience and background in molecular evolution. A diploma or a master's degree in biology or bioinformatics, the practical experience in the Unix environment, and management of English is required.

The project will be supervised by Professor E. Zdobnov, Institute for Genetic Medicine and Development, University of Geneva Medical School. We are also part of the famous Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics and offer a stimulating research environment with excellent facilities.

The popular image of college bound students, who sweated blood to get his college course of choice. And the band bluer the school, the more excited they are looking for the credentials.

But a new study by Public Agenda for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation shows something different. Students are more interested in a college can afford or go home in the area.

The study also found that students are not finishing in six years when he graduated at all.
